Local Groups & Assemblies

The link describes the structure of the Republic of Kanata and how, through lessons learned and necessity, it has changed and evolved.

Republic Structure

Our Vision

In these early stages the Republic of Albion owes a debt of gratitude to the citizens of Kanata for the work and sacrifices they have made and the sharing of that knowledge. This has given us a very strong foundation of experience on which to build our own structure.

At the core will be Local Assemblies which will replace the existing government structures e.g. local councils. The assemblies are legislative bodies which can debate, introduce and enact laws in their own communities. These laws are enforced by common law courts and Sheriff, elected by and answerable to the people.

Our Impact

Citizens will be elected in to positions of responsibility in the assemblies for an agreed period of time so that no individual or faction controls the assembly.

It is the duty of citizens to educate themselves in the principles of Natural/Common Law, for through knowledge comes sovereignty and the guardianship of the Republic.

Currently and following the experiences of Kanata we are forming small groups of 3 to 5 people that are local to each other, enabling them to meet in person to build personal connections not always possible online. These will be in contact with a central co-ordinating group. From these we also have working groups, which at the moment are primarily concerned with Common Law and Common Law Courts.

Our Future

Moving forward there will be working groups formed to look at the wider aspects of the Republic e.g. health, education, agriculture etc. although it will be a necessary requirement for all citizens to educate themselves in common law and training in this is being organised.

We don’t have to re-invent the wheel, just restore what has been taken from us.

Our Pledge

At republicofalbion.com, our vision is a community where everyone has access to the resources and support they need to thrive. We work towards this goal every day, by providing vital services and advocating for policies that promote equity and justice.
