There are many conversations and definitions of Natural Law in books, on the internet in the information space, but Natural Law is not an academic or theoretical pursuit, Natural law is discovered by application and embodiment. It is for that reason that these words are not meant to be treated as a declaration of truth, but instead as a pointer for change within our own lives.
It is necessary for as many humans as possible to embody and protect Natural Law. We are in a battle to defend it, and as a consequence to defend the very nature of being human.
Natural Law is not only our connection to Creation, but also our means of self-development and Freedom. It is Natural law that protects and empowers us, in our great struggle to reclaim our lives, and build the world we are truly meant to live in.
Natural Law is wisdom that is embodied within You, it is something you know innately, even when you go against it. It is understood through your ability to self-reflect on actions, reactions, and relationship with Life. It exists within the fabric of yourself, body, mind, heart and spirit.
Natural Law reflects in both our living present and our living past, current circumstances and ancient foundations.
Natural Law could be described as The Law of Love and Co-Existance. ('Love' meaning benevolence, non-interference, respect, acceptance, compassion, non-imposition). The ability of peaceful co-existence threads through all pillars of Natural Law.
Our Conscience, when we feel it and listen to it, speaks to us of it.
We are all equal under the Law. No-one is above the Law.
We practice Natural Law all the time in our daily lives, because it is our natural way.
Our rights and freedoms of life are inherent in Creation, they are not given or permitted by any person, and therefore cannot be taken away.
We are born with them equally.
Free will can be summarised by the ability a make a choice. Free Will gives you the ability to self-reflect in order to change your actions and reactions in the moment. Free Will gives you the ability to change.
With acknowledgement of choice comes responsibility, which is how we take ownership of our lives to heal, among many other things. However hard taking responsibility for our emotions and actions feels, the reward is greater freedom to Create your life and a better world.
Our conscience speaks to us of the truth that is within us, when we must question ourselves, our own actions and responses. It calls us to question what we know is wrong, and asks us what we can do for right.
Without Choice, Responsibility and Conscience we cannot govern ourselves, and cannot become self governing people. Self governance is a journey not a destination, it changes as we are challenged in new ways.
The application of our rational thought & minds, balanced with the wisdom of our hearts. Reason requires many things including: not making assumptions, exercising balance and fairness, being aware of our bias and subjectivity.
The weighing in balance of rights and wrongs through evidence and circumstances of a harm, breach of peace, or dispute. If reasonable, self-reflective and responsible people are presiding, fairness and justice is able to be served.
The ability to observe, question and analyse circumstances, behaviour and outcomes, both in the 'man-made' world and in nature that we are a part of. Many observations tell us that what we think is the cause is often the effect.
Your attention has huge power, for your own life and those around you.
Being aware of where your attention is going, understanding how it may be used against you and channeling your energy through creative actions, is vital .
Put simply, no society or people can continue without love and protection for the innocent and young. Without that instinct, the human race is over.
With that instinct fully functioning we have a future, and lives worth living.
The Earth and nature constantly reminds us where we belong, what gives us life, breath, light, water, food, beauty, and all we need to live.
Through community we build lives, hold others to account and enable others to hold us to account. We all take a role no matter how small, as innately social beings. The organising structures we create will always respect the individuals that they comprise, if they are aligned to Natural Law
Constitutions can be held in many ways, unwritten and written. A written constitution can be just as aligned to natural law as one held in the hearts of the people. But history shows us that when we express the principles of our Natural Law in a written constitution we must take great care to make sure it is also held in the hearts and minds of The People . A constitution can help to remind us and future generations of the principles that we protect and cherish.
